Eunice, affectionately known as "Mawsie" by her family, was born in New Orleans, LA, and was a longtime resident of Arabi, LA. Her life was a testament to love, family, and the simple joys that filled her heart. Eunice had a special way of expressing her love to those around her. Whenever she penned cards or letters, she would always sign off with the words, "Love you with all my heart" as a sincere reflection of her boundless affection. Her deepest love was reserved for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their happiness and laughter was her truest joy, and her unwavering support and guidance were a source of strength for them all. She also had a creative spirit and a love for crafting and sewing. Whether it was creating something beautiful with her hands or spending peaceful moments fishing and crabbing at her camp, she found solace and happiness in these pursuits. Her culinary talents were renowned, and her family and friends cherished the delicious meals she prepared with love. One of Eunice's most treasured moments each year was the annual family reunions. She held close to her heart the notion that her family was a tight-knit, loving unit, and these gatherings were a testament to the bond they all shared.

As we celebrate Eunice's life, we also mourn her passing. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all. Eunice's legacy of love, creativity, and family unity will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her love, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on our lives will remain eternally. Eunice, you are still loved and will be deeply missed by us all. Rest in peace, dear Eunice. You will always be "Mawsie" in our hearts.

Special thanks to the staff of Heart of Hospice, especially Mrs. Parker (aide) and Jennifer (nurse), for their care and compassion when it was needed most.
