Stephen (Steve) Scott St. Amand, a Petroleum Engineer at Cox Operating, LLC in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on September 30, 2022 at the age of 60. He was born on May 19, 1962 in Opelousas, Louisiana to the late Alexander Joseph St. Amand and Juanita Veillon St. Amand.
Steve received his Bachelor Degree from University of Louisiana Lafayette in Petroleum Engineering. He was a member of American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the American Petroleum Institute (API).
Steve loved to cook for friends, family and co-workers. He also enjoyed traveling with his friends and watching LSU and Saints games.
Loving husband of 12 years to Janel Lemaitre St. Amand. Father of Benjamin Scott St. Amand (Emily) and Russell Joseph St. Amand (fiancé Ashley Adams). Step-father of Sarah Elizabeth Bilbe (fiancé Brandon Cutrera). Brother of Christine D’Arcangelo (Rene). Also survived by his beloved Aunt Catherine Veillon; his 3 nieces Sherie, Celeste and Nikki; and multiple cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
