Peacefully, on January 6th, Bert passed away following a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease. He leaves June, his wife of 60 years, daughter, Lise (Tom), Andrée (Chris), sons Luc and Paul (Lynn), grandchildren Eric, Philip, Sean, Richard, Kayla, Nicole, Jonathan and Crystal, great granddaughter Sophie. Dear brother of Monique St-Amand. His successful career in the Civil Service led him to I.D.R.C. where he travelled the world as Director of Administrative Services. Bert retired and played golf in Myrtle Beach in Winter and remodelled his cottage at Lac Bernard in Summer. He loved music, B & B and chocolate. He was always ready to party and regaled us with his particular brand of wit. His family was his pride and joy and the grandchildren were icing on the cake. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Carling Chapel, 2313 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON, K2B 7G3, 613-828-2313 on Saturday January 14th from 1 pm until Service time in the Chapel at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated.
