Avis de décès : M. Robert St. Amand (1949-04-20 - 2016-12-20)

Robert St. Amand, long-time resident of Studio City, died on December 20, 2016 of acute leukemia. At the end, he was surrounded by family and friends, who serenaded him with many of his favorite Beatles songs. He was 67 years old.

He was the son of Eileen Frances St. Amand (Mulligan) and Roland Valentino St. Amand, and the stepson of Charles Alvin Levitsky, all of whom have predeceased him.

He grew up in the wonderful Studio City of the 1950's. He attended Carpenter Avenue School, Walter Reed Junior High and graduated from Hollywood High School. He attended Art Center College of Design and his work was deemed worthy to be hung on the walls of that fine institution. He worked for a short time in the motion picture industry as a prop man and then made a career in the construction industry as a finish carpenter. In retirement, he spent a good deal of time assisting in the care of his younger sister, Kathryn, who had suffered a stroke years earlier. He enjoyed drawing, discussing art and playing the guitar. He practiced these activities to the end.

He had a large family and enjoyed spending time with them. He leaves behind his siblings Diana, Thomas, Kathryn, Michael, Patricia, Cynthia, Ronald, Richard and Mathew; sisters-in-law Marylee, Eugenia, Julie, Diana and Traci and brothers-in-law Philip, Greg and Rick. All of whom will miss his counsel, his company and his easy-going manner. He will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews: Chelsea, Kaiyah, Athena, Michael, Nathan, Bryan, Breanna, Gregory, Jacqueline, Ashley, Katelin, Roland, Duncan, Ariana, Roman, Natalie, Matthew and Luke, as well as his aunts Lora Mulligan and Beverly Legg. He was a gentle soul and happy to lend an ear to those who needed one. He was beloved by all. Our hearts are broken. We will miss him and will be eternally grateful for his presence in our lives.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (10800 Moorpark St., North Hollywood, 91602) on Wednesday, January 4th at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
