St. Amand, Ron "Rombo" Surrounded by the love and support of his family, Ron St. Amand passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on October 19, 2012. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ellen and their four children, Lori (Glenn), Terry (Sarah), Rick (Sylvia) and Dana (Jamie), 13 grandchildren, Tara (Michael), Stephanie, Cam, Maddie, Wesley, Jamie-Lee, Kirby Lynn, Brandon, Tyler, Brayden, Riley, Ciara, Chloe and “Taj, the great” (grandchild). Ron was also loved, and is survived by his two brothers, Brian (Fran) and John (Iris), his sister, Heather (Godfrey) and sisters-in-law, Cathy (Roger) and Elvera, in addition to many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his cherished mother, Vera, mother-in-law, Geneva, father-in-law, James and brother-in-law, Jim. Ron was born in Paris, ON and grew up in Renfrew, ON where his lifelong passion for the outdoors began. He raised his family in the Brantford/St. George area where he also ran his family business, Ricter Web Printing for 37 years and counting. He has left his children and grandchildren with a treasured legacy of hobbies such as fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hockey, golf, boating, cooking and music just to name a few. Ron lived his life to the fullest and left us the way he wanted to..making us laugh, demonstrating his strength and courage and passing on his generosity of spirit. We thank him for our wealth of memories and most of all, his love. Thank you to the staff at Brantford General Hospital for your care and compassion and a special thank you to Dr. Lou Miller. Friends will be received at the Dennis Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday October 24th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Donations gratefully accepted to a charity of your choice.
